Crime Description:
On April 14,2026, at approximately 08:15 hours, Seymaria Mitchell (V-1), came to the SRO's Office located at the College Drive Location. Ms. Mitchell advised she is currently the victim of not just mental abuse but also physical abuse and injury at the hands of her boyfriend Darrell Boggs. Ms. Mitchell said they are not married and have never been married; however, they have been together for an extended period of time and was engaged. Ms. Mitchell showed multiple bruises and contusions on her left arm and wrist areas. Ms. Mitchell advised she had additional injuries to her rib area and back as well. When asked, Ms. Mitchell said she has already taken photographs of the bruising in both areas. Ms. Mitchell was advised to retain said photographs and present them for her court proceedings. Ms. Mitchell appeared to be extremely nervous and scared while speaking with me. Ms. Mitchell said yesterday, meaning April 13,2026, she was confronted by Mr. Boggs in the front parking lot of the College Drive Campus. Ms. Mitchell said Mr. Boggs was yelling and screaming at her demanding that she gives her car to him and take his car. Ms. Mitchell said she complied to stop the confrontation. Ms. Mitchell said she left the College Drive Campus at this point and filed for a Emergency Protection Order (EPO) with Greenup County. Ms. Mitchell left my office at approximately 08:50. At approximately 09:00 Valerie Biggs (W-2) ran to my office saying Mr. Boggs was in the college attempting to get to Ms. Mitchell. Melissa Sparks, Security Supervisor, and myself left my office to locate Mr. Boggs. Mr. Boggs was located near the entrance to Student Support Services where Mr. Mitchell works. (close to rooms 217 & 218) I asked Mr. Boggs to identify himself and asked for the reason he was inside this building. Mr. Boggs said he was on his way to Worthington. I told him he was out of route and should not be here. Mr. Boggs was placed in handcuffs at this time and escorted to my office located near the front of the building. I asked Mr. Boggs why he shouldn't be here, and he replied that he made a bad decision. Mr. Boggs also admitted that he was served EPO papers the day prior demanding he stay away from Ms. Mitchell. This information was also verified through dispatch. Mr. Boggs was also extremely intoxicated during this incident. Ms. Mitchell was advised to obtain a legible copy of the EPO and get the exact times of the court proceedings. Mr. Boggs was turned over to Ashland Police Department and transported to jail.
